We are truly thrilled today to have signed two partnership agreements with solar module manufacturing giant Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System Co Ltd (Seraphim) and world leading green and smart energy service provider TBEA Co Ltd respectively.
The signing ceremony with Seraphim Solar System appoints BSL Eco Energy as exclusive distributorship for Seraphim solar modules in Malaysia, bringing another top solar panel brand to Malaysian shores. BSL Eco Energy also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with TBEA Co Ltd on the cooperation and development of solar and renewable energy projects in the Southeast Asian region.
The signing ceremonies took place during the International Greentech and Eco Products Exhibition and Conference Malaysia (IGEM) – South East Asia’s largest trade event for green technology and eco products.
Joining in the event as winesses to the signing were Minister of Energy, Green Technology and Water (KeTTHA) Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Chairman of the Sustainable Energy Development Authority Malaysia (SEDA) Datuk Dr Yee Moh Chai, Secretary General of KeTTHA Dato’ Dr Ir Zaini Ujang, Chief Executive Officer of SEDA Catherine Ridu, Suruhanjaya Tenaga Chairman Dato’ Abdul Razak Bin Abdul Majid, Chairman of GreenTech Malaysia Tan Sri Peter Chin, Group CEO of GreenTech Malaysia Dr Mohd Azman Zainul Abidin and Deputy Secretary General (Energy & Green Technology) KeTTHA Datin Badriyah Hj Abd Malek.
Seraphim Energy is Tier 1 Solar Module Maker as listed by the Bloomberg New Energy Finance (BNEF) – a tiering system that differentiates manufacturers based on quality and bankability. Seraphim boasts a solar module production capacity to 2.1GW and over 2GW installed over 30 countries worldwide.
BSL Eco Energy will be distributing a range of Seraphim’s most popular modules, including standard modules, High Voltage modules, Eclipse(TM), DualGlass(TM), EZbox(TM), Solaris(TM) and DC Optimised modules.
BSL Eco Energy Managing Director Mr Lim said that BSL Eco Energy was looking forward to introducing Seraphim to the Malaysian solar market.
“Photon Laboratory has given Seraphim panels the top ranking in terms of power output since 2011, with a 93.6% yield measurement. Plus, because their production is 100% automated, costs are significantly lower – a benefit which we will definitely pass on to the Malaysian solar industry,” said Lim.
He added that BSL Eco Energy and Seraphim panels were ideal for the Large Scale Solar (LSS) and Net Energy Metering (NEM) markets. Seraphim panels are already slotted to be used in several projects in Malaysia, including a residential development in Ipoh.
Seraphim Energy Chief Executive Officer Mr Polaris Li said that when it came to choosing local partners, they only selected partners with solid backgrounds in the solar industry.
“BSL Eco Energy has a proven track record in engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning services for the solar PV industry. Their expertise ensures that they can handle residential, commercial and large scale solar power plant operations,” he said.
Mr Lim also expressed his excitement to be working together with TBEA Co Ltd – one of China’s largest engineering, procurement and commissioning players in the international solar market; and also a largescale energy equipment manufacturing enterprise that provides complete product systems for power, transmission and distribution (PTD) primary equipment.
“This partnership is part of an ongoing effort by BSL Eco Energy to take advantage of a rapidly expanding PV installation market in the region through collaborations with key players,” said Lim.
TBEA Deputy General Manager for International Business Mr Chen Jie said that the partnership would make good use of both companies’ respective strengths to create a ‘double win’ in terms of accelerating technological exchange.
“TBEA’s product and technology support, together with BSL Eco Energy’s strong market network and industry background, results in a winning strategic partnership,” he said.
